Ball mill for the refining of cocoa and chocolate ingredients. The mill is filled with stainless steel ball bearings. It rotates around a horizontal axis and the rolling movement of the ball bearings breaks down the ingredients to give a smaller partice size.
Ball mills can be supplied in many sizes depending on your requirements.
Milling time is usually between 18 - 25 hours depending on recipe and quality of chocolate required
The ball mill can be used on its own, but it is often used in conjunction with our refiner conche to produce an even higher quality product.
